Do you know a Rancho Cordova volunteer superstar?
The Cordova Community Council is seeking nominations for the 2012 Community Volunteer Awards event:
Lights, Camera, Action!
6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24
Rancho Cordova City Hall
Each year, the council recognizes outstanding volunteer contributions to the community in various categories ranging from business to faith leadership. The prestigious "Rancho Cordovan of the Year" award can honor an exceptional contribution to the community during the year or over a lifetime.
Cateogories include:
• Distinguished Community Business Partner
• Distinguished Community Service (Individual or group)
• Distinguished Community Service Organization
• Outstanding Teen Service (Service by an individual teenager or teen service organization)
• Outstanding Service to Youth (Educator, Faith Leader, Coach or group serving youth in the community)
• "Couldn't Have Done it Without You Award" (An all-encompassing award category that let's you use your imagination!)
• Rancho Cordovan of the Year: (Individual who made an extraordinary contribution to the community during 2010 or over a lifetime. )
