Sacramento County Academic Decathlon

The Sacramento County Academic Decathlon is an annual academic competition for high school students. The Super Quiz is a Jeopardy! style question and answer competition involving hundreds of students. The Super Quiz is the highlight of an all-day academic event in which students have trained for months.

Students representing 25 H.S. take turns, as teams celebrate. Fans inside a crowded gymnasium cheer for their teams. Visuals include: excited and happy students, cheering parents and family members, occasional school mascots, supporting signs and banners, a large jumbo screen showing correct answers and scores. Approximately 300 students participate each year.
