Access Sacramento, a non-profit foundation, operating a non-commercial community media arts center for broadcasting on cable, radio and the Internet, is seeking a full-time office manager who will handle day-to-day processing of memberships and other front-office duties as assigned. This position includes a partial assignment as a TV Show producer with the ability to coordinate content and crew for live or taped in-house show production or for remote off-site events.

We are seeking an Office Manager who will provide daily leadership in the areas of membership, business office management (including payroll), office supplies, and other administrative clerical duties – including working with news releases, social media, company newsletters, and front desk staffing.  TV show producing is less than 20% of this assignment and includes scheduling of program content, guest interviews and management of live or live-to-tape crews and TV studio production.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Office operations including handling fees for membership, training, fund raising and special projects, filing, bookkeeping, ordering supplies and other clerical services.
  • Processes telephone sign ups for classes, workshops and memberships.
  • Handles mail processing in and out, and facilitates newsletters and news release information on company websites, social media and other outreach.
  • Prepares documents for payroll and other reports in support of administration
  • Maintains contact with employees, community members and outside vendors in a professional manner at all times.
  • Supervises employees or student interns in the completion of tasks as assigned, including assigning and directing work and appraising performance.
  • Advises and implements membership appreciation and retention programs.
  • Manages event planning and implementation of company events when assigned in support of fundraising and community outreach including an annual film festival.
  • Represents Access Sacramento professionally at meetings or orientations periodically when the Executive Director is not available.
  • Takes minutes at Board of Director’s meetings
  • Additional duties as listed in the full job description, including occasional nights or weekend schedules.
  • Television production includes work with community volunteers and staff members to implement live and taped television production.
  • Coordinates TV crew assignments, production design, and oversees production implementation including show format, rundown and scheduling of interview guests and other content as needed.
  • Meets deadlines for all TV Show production stages including pre-production for the collection of talent releases, graphic data, logos, and other production elements
  • Facilitates completion of live and taped shows including on-set movement, guests and other elements and timely completion of show elements.
  • Manages a variety of DVD distribution and YouTube upload tasks.

Qualifications: 

An Associate of Arts Degree (or college or technical training equivalent) and six months to one-year of related experience, or a combination of both skills.  Language, Math and Computer skills and the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, spoken or diagram form.  A current driver’s license and proof of Auto Insurance required.
