Segment Camera Operator

Access Sacramento seeks experienced video story tellers who can produce short 3-4 minute video profiles in a documentary style for on-air use during the Live Wire interview program. These profiles will showcase artists or art organizations in Sacramento. These profiles will not include a host or narrator, and must be told in the subject’s voice during on-screen interviews with supporting video and natural sound.
Program Producer - facilitates the creation of 14 video profiles and assists in the monitoring of the production schedule, selection of stories, delivery for broadcast in March, April and May, 2021. With Access Sacramento help, this person will also coordinate the final delivery of a combined program (and planned in-person reception) unifying the videos into a showcase event honoring the video makers and their artist-subjects. (Total Budget: $3500)
Segment Producer - responsible for individual high-quality video profiles of Sacramento area artists running between three-to-four minutes each. Must be able to work under deadline. These is no on-camera work associated with this job. (16 hours per segment at $27/hr.)
Segment Camera Operator - responsible for recording video and audio in-the-field. Must have their own equipment (HD camera, exterior microphone, tripod and lights) or be camera-certified as an Access Sacramento member. (16 hours per segment @ $21/hr.)
Segment Editor - responsible for assembling finished air-quality video packages under the direction of a segment producer. Responsible for ingest, editing, export and delivery under deadline. Must have their own equipment or be editing certified in the Access Sacramento Digital Media Lab. (10 hours per segment at $21/hr.)
These part-time temporary jobs are funded under a grant from the California Arts Council. All work must be completed by the end of June, 2021. Applicants can specify multiple job titles in the same application. This is hourly, work-for-hire and all aired-and-unaired video remains the property of Access Sacramento.
