What is an OTT and why would I want one?

An OTT (over-the-top) is a direct-to-consumer video content platform where video content is available to stream on-demand. No matter the provider, the convenience of an OTT is that content can also be streamed on the vast array of today’s devices––computers, iPads, smart phones, Apple watches, etc.

Since Access Sacramento believes in Inclusion, we want to make sure that those who can’t afford a cable television subscription can also watch local media.  If you watch our channels through any of the OTT platforms, please make a donation to Access Sacramento to support the operational costs of this service…otherwise access may no longer be accessible…

The OTT Platforms that Support Access Sacramento Include:

  • Roku
  • Apple TV
  • Amazon Fire TV
  • IPTV
  • NFHSNetwork.com (subscription-based high school sports site…it’s a pretty cool site that offers national coverage of high school sports.)

How to Access Our Channels:

ROKU: Once you are in your Roku OTT, search for the CABLECAST SCREENWEAVE channel. This channel includes Access Sacramento as well as other cool local channels in our area. Great fun to watch the variety of community-produced programming!

FIRE TV: Once you are in your Amazon Fire TV OTT, search for the SCREENWEAVE channel. This channel includes Access Sacramento as well as other cool local channels in our area. Great fun to watch the variety of community-produced programming!
